President

I am a dedicated mother to an amazing 5-year-old boy and a GenAI Architect, specializing in the design, development, and implementation of transformative AI solutions in the tech industry.

As an Amazon Best-Selling Co-Author of Ladies in Tech: Changing the Face of Technology, I am passionate about driving innovation and empowering women in technology.

With over a decade of active membership in LESA USA, I have served on the esteemed LESA USA Task Force Committee and currently serve as the President of LESA Baltimore, where I focus on fostering branch engagement and driving sustainable growth.

Sylvie Fomundam

Vice President

Sylvie is a dedicated nurse specializing in case management with a passion for problem-solving and guiding others through the complexities of the healthcare system. As a mother of four, she seamlessly balances her professional expertise with a deep commitment to education, leadership, and community development.

Beyond her healthcare career, Sylvie is a fierce advocate for youth empowerment and cultural preservation. She leads a weekly Zoom class teaching children the Moghamo language, ensuring the next generation stays connected to their heritage. She is also spearheading a transformative live-in summer camp in Cameroon for teens aged 12 to 17. The camp focuses on success-building skills, entrepreneurship, cross-cultural exchange, and personal development—equipping young people with the tools to thrive.

With a heart for service, Sylvie actively mentors and creates opportunities for meaningful engagement. She organizes volunteer efforts in nursing homes, fostering intergenerational connections and promoting compassion.

In her free time, she enjoys dancing, savoring great food, and unwinding with a good movie. Guided by values of hard work, resilience, and the power of education, Sylvie is committed to making a lasting impact—whether in healthcare, youth mentorship, or community service.

Miz Fab (Dr. Bertha Fru Asa)

Secretary General

Dr. Asa is a dynamic leader and compassionate advocate who currently serves as the Secretary General of LESA USA (Lourdes Ex-Students Association). In this role, she plays an integral part in fostering collaboration, driving strategic initiatives, and promoting the organizational growth of the association. Her dedication to community engagement and leadership ensures that LESA continues to thrive as a network of empowerment, mentorship, and positive impact.

Beyond her leadership role, Dr. Asa is a committed Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) Specialist, where she provides critical mental health support, case management, and trauma-informed care to individuals navigating psychiatric challenges. With a deep passion for holistic well-being, social justice, and client advocacy, she works tirelessly to bridge cultural gaps, ensuring inclusive and accessible mental health services for diverse communities.

Whether in her professional capacity or through her leadership in LESA, Dr. Asa remains steadfast in her mission to empower individuals, strengthen communities, and drive meaningful changes in the lives of those she serves.

Pam Fortibui

Financial Secretary

Pam Fortibui is a U.S. Navy veteran, Registered Nurse, and Cybersecurity professional with a deep commitment to service. Beyond her career, she is passionate about giving back to her community in various capacities. On a personal note, she has a keen interest in skincare and natural healing.

It is an honor for Pam to serve BaltoBabes as their Financial Secretary. She also volunteers on the Election Committee and the Convention Planning Committee, engaging in these roles to gain a deeper understanding of the organization’s operations. Pam looks forward to contributing to Lesa Baltimore’s growth and expanding its philanthropic efforts both locally and throughout the Diaspora.

I have been a Baltobabe for 5 years. I served as the groups Secretary General from 2020-2024. I became PRO in February 2025. My goal for this mandate is build stronger relationships with other associations in the community, increase Baltobabes presence and visibility in the state of MD.
